Another successful season by the Roslyn High School Badminton squad came to a premature end last weekend when the Lady Bulldogs were defeated by Calhoun High School, 5-2, in Nassau County Conference semifinals action. In a key singles match, Stephanie Holleran of Calhoun defeated Roslyn's Tina Galani, 11-1, 11-7.

Earlier, the Lady Bulldogs had defeated Hempstead High, 7-0 to make it to the match with Calhoun.

Despite the disappointing end to the season, The Lady Bulldogs had already won the regular season Conference title. Earlier in the week, team members participated in Individual and County Doubles competition. In the actual competition, Sheryl Brea and Rebekan Rombon were victorious in their doubles matchup.

Meanwhile, the boys varsity golf team continued their own winning ways. Since the middle of May, the Bulldogs have gone undefeated, defeating Jericho, 6-3 and Cold Spring Harbor twice, 7-2 and 5.5-3.5. Jared Pinchasik and David Held were the low scorers for the matches which were played, respectively, at the Glen Oaks Country, the Huntington Country Club, and the Harbor Links Golf Course.
