I want to thank The Roslyn News for its excellent coverage of our recent program on the Civil War.

The Roslyn Landmark Society sponsors eight equally interesting and informative programs a year on local history, historic preservation, the decorative arts and similar topics. We also host trips to historic sites and the award-winning annual Roslyn house tour, now in its 43rd year.

If your readers would like to take part in these activities, the best way is to join the Roslyn Landmark Society. For as little as $25 a year, members can get a monthly newsletter and invitations to Society events as well as support the organization's efforts to foster preservation throughout the Roslyn area.

Anyone interested in finding out more about the Society and its programs should come to our next meeting on April 23 at 8 p.m. at the George Washington Manor restaurant, or call the Society's office at 625-4363.

Harrison Hunt, President
