The Child Abuse Prevention Services (CAPS) recently hosted an exquisite gala at The Carltun in Eisenhower Park. Bill O'Reilly, host of Fox News Channel's The O'Reilly Factor was honored for his role as a children's advocate. Leslie Reich, a senior at the Wheatley School, was awarded the Suzanne Link Memorial Scholarship at the recent All-County Awards Banquet sponsored by the Nassau County Girls Soccer Coaches Association. This prestigious award, which is presented annually, is named in memory of a gifted scholar-athlete who was tragically killed by a motorist who was driving while under the influence of alcohol. Each year the Nassau County girls soccer coaches nominate student-athletes who, like Link, demonstrated exceptional talent both on the playing field and in the classroom. FULL STORY
