It's time to lace up the skates and sharpen the blades for spectacular outdoor winter fun at Nassau County's Christopher Morley Park Ice Rink. The outdoor rink is already open for public sessions.
Christopher Morley Park's Ice Rink Winter Session Schedule is as follows:
Daytime: seven days a week
10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
1:15 to 3:15 p.m.
4 to 6 p.m.
Evening: Friday and Saturday
8:30 to 10:30 p.m.
(no spectators on Friday and Saturday evenings)
Thursday and Sunday
6:45 to 8:45 p.m.
Ice rink fees for each two-hour session (or portion thereof) for Nassau County residents with Leisure Passports are $5 for adults, $3 for children (4 to 17) and $2.50 for senior citizens, veterans, persons with disabilities, volunteer firefighters and ambulance corps and auxiliary police. Children age 3 and under are admitted free with paying adult. Leisure Passports are required for anyone 13 years of age and over.
Guests are admitted only when accompanied by fee-paying adults with Leisure Passports. Guest fees are $10 per session for adults and $6 for children. Skate rental is $4 per session. Lockers are 25 cents per use.
Charter time is available for group, hockey and private rental. Group and private lessons are also available. For more information, call the rink manager at 571-8113.
The Christopher Morley Park Ice Rink will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The rink will be open through mid-March, weather permitting.
