The lights of Broadway never looked brighter than they did on Dec. 15 at Page One Restaurant. As the director of A Christmas Carol for the past four years, I have seen various stages of this production from placement of the actors to the final production. With each year the cast has turned out a stellar performance earning them many accolades.
I would like to thank the cast for their dedication and numerous hours of rehearsal that made this show a reality. Without them "nothing wonderful could come of the story we related."
To the unsung heroes of this production go the biggest thanks. Joe Livolsi of 30 FPS Film Productions, provided the lighting that made our show look polished. Our lighting technician, Troy Kreiner, showed marked attention to detail carrying everything off without a hitch. Our stage manager Christina Mazzeo and Properties Mistress Alyssa Kreiner ran backstage with the precision of a Swiss watch. To Assistant Director Patty Kreiner of Pizazz Studios goes a big thank you for helping breathe new life into our production.
The evening was topped off with Ruben Austin, Steve Silverman and Frank Farrara donating their musical talents, giving Page One a festive air and some of the best thunder I have ever heard. Of course, nothing could have happened without the culinary talents and kind generosity of Chef Jeanine DiMenna and Peter Antopopulous of Page One Restaurant.
As for me, I thank my family for all the support, help and patience they gave me, in particular the extra time spent away from my work at Royal Holiday Travel. If you haven't gotten the opportunity to see the production, make sure you catch it next year. It guarantees not to be a Humbug!
