The GU-11 Albertson Anacondas ended their fall season by winning the Gold Division of the North Hempstead Cup Tournament. Over a cold and windy Thanksgiving weekend the Anacondas defeated the Hicksville Red Devils 5-0, Franklin Square Elite 4-0, Dix Hills Storm 2-1 and Port Washington Mustangs 6-0.

The girls had started the season back in August by winning the Gold Division in the East Meadow Ref-Fuel Tournament. During the regular fall season they finished tied for third place in Nassau Division 1. An outstanding defensive line of: Dani Goldberg, Paige Feldman, Sarah Ribakove, Samantha Richmond and goalie Christina Mockler had nine shutouts and allowed more than one goal just once in 19 league and tournament games. The offensive punch was supplied by forwards Allison Sloper and Emily Lipari who shared the team lead in scoring. They had strong support from Clare Adams, Jenna Figman and Jenny Kim. Midfielders Stephanie Cohen, Katie Thaler, Chloe Street and Emily Goldberg played outstanding two way soccer, setting up the forwards and scoring vital goals when necessary but always coming back to support the defense.
