I would like to comment on Roslyn Estates recent board of trustee meeting held at Temple Beth Shalom on Nov. 4. This meeting was held at the Temple in anticipation of large crowds caused by the controversy surrounding new zoning laws proposed for our village.

Unlike the previous meeting, that was overcrowded and "volatile," this meeting ran smoothly due to the efforts and preparation of the board. We were educated by a panel on the issues and the effects of the proposed laws on our village. The residents were given time to express their views and concerns, and it was clear that the mayor and the board listened carefully to each voice.

I believe that the board acted in the best interest of the residents. As a resident of Roslyn Estates, I am not alone in my appreciation of the diverse rustic beauty of our neighborhood. Therefore, I want to publicly commend the board for their hard work on behalf of the Village of Roslyn Estates.
