Landmark Society Elects New Trustees
Recently, the Roslyn Landmark Society members conducted their annual election of trustees, selecting six people to serve the society in the coming year. Out of 17 candidates, society members elected Mike Viola, Donald Kavanagh, Iris Levin, Diane Margaritis Durkin, Phyllis Minkoff and Cecil Tinder. Upon receiving the most votes in the June 26 election, Mr. Viola promptly resigned and had his seat filled by Merrill Dorsky, who had recorded the next highest vote total.

Stop Signs Constructed in The Pines
In recent months, the Village of Roslyn Board of Trustees approved the placement of stop signs to be placed in the Pines area of the village, especially around Pool Drive. At their last village meeting, BOT members confirmed that four such signs have been constructed in the area in question.

"Ladies Day Tennis" in the Hamptons
On July 22, Sportime at Roslyn tennis club arranged a fun and sun-filled day trip to their sister Sportime Amagansett club for "Ladies Day Tennis in the Hamptons." A group of 26 tennis players and sport members joined hundreds of fellow World Team Tennis enthusiasts from several of the 12 Long Island Sportime club locations.
