Wide Ranging Barak Lecture
Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak traveled to Roslyn last Wednesday night to give a talk to a crowd of 830 people at Temple Beth Sinai, where he gave a somber, but hopeful address on both the ongoing war against terrorism, and prospects for peace in the Middle East.

Final BOE Budget Review
The Roslyn Board of Education conducted its final review of the 2002-03 school budget at a special meeting on April 18 and its regularly scheduled meeting on April 23. After a series of comprehensive public discussions at several meetings over the last two months, the board adopted a budget of $69,803,536 for the approval of voters on May 21.

Track Team is Up and Running
The North Shore men's track team competed in its first meet of the season on March 25 at Locust Valley High School against Locust Valley, Manhasset and East Rockaway. The conditions were not very good for running as it was cold and blustery, but the team did quite well anyway.
