The 16th annual Christopher Morley Knothole Association Student Reading Scholarship Contest will be held at the Bryant Library on Wednesday, Feb. 27, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The high school readers will be drawn from Glen Cove, Herricks, Locust Valley, Mineola, North Shore, Port Washington, Roslyn, Syosset and Wheatley High Schools. On Thursday, Feb. 7, at Chaminade High School, all boys and girls ages 10-14 are invited to participate in the local level of competition for the 2002 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship. Doors open at Chaminade for the local competition at 7 p.m. for warm-up and registration and the contest begins at 7:30 p.m. All contestants are required to furnish proof of age and must be accompanied by a parent.
