Allison Heimler of East Hills performed a new figure skating routine during the New York Rangers Kids Fan Club open practice at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, Dec. 15.

At the invitation of the New York Ranger Organization, Allison entertained the fans with her grace, athleticism and skill skating to the music Are You Ready for This-Let's Get Ready to Rumble in a routine choreographed by her coach Valerie Murray.

Skating in an autographed vintage-look Ranger jersey, Allison was the finale to a fun-filled day of activities for the Rangers Kids Club. Allison provided the fans with an enthusiastic and energetic exhibition that included a number of difficult skating moves, including the spit spin, flip jump and her signature move The Heimlerskya.

Allison is a gold-medal winner at the 2001 Nassau County Figure Skating Championship and the 2001 ISI Team Competition at Lake Placid. Allison skates regularly on Long Island and will be spending the summer at the United States Olympic Figure Skating Training Center at Lake Placid.

Allison is a fifth-grade student in Ms. Golden's class at the East Hills School and is a member of the Long Island Edge Figure Skating Team and the Cantiague Figure Skating Club.
