Athletic and academic successes are always goals of Herricks High Schools' Athletic Program. This past fall season seven high school varsity teams were recognized as New York State Scholar Athlete Teams.

This program is run under the auspices of the New York State Public School Athletic Association. This program and award are made available to varsity athletes only.

Earning distinction for Herricks High were the Boys Cross Country team, the Girls Cross Country team, the Golf Team, the Girls' Soccer team, the Girls Tennis team and the Girls' Volleyball team.
