Sylvia Lazewatsky (Glassgold), of Weston, MA, formerly of East Park, died on Nov. 18, 2001. Wife of the late Harry. Mother of Joel Lazewatsky (Barbara Kaplan) of Newton, MA, and Audrey Lazewatsky of Boston, MA. Grandmother of Miriam and Daniel Lazewatsky of Newton. Graveside services at Beth Israel Memorial Park in Waltham, MA on Nov. 20. Memorial observance was at the home of Joel Lazewatsky and Barbara Kaplan. Bayer, of Roslyn, died on Nov. 20, 2001. Mrs. Bayer, wife of the late Rudolph, was a resident of Roslyn since 1951. Active in education in Roslyn for many years, Mrs. Bayer taught at East Hills and Roslyn Heights schools and was president of the Roslyn Teachers Association. Mother of Kathryn M. Bayer. Aunt of Charles Wellshear, Richard Wellshear, William Wellshear and Mary Kathryn Mays. The funeral was held at Fairchild Sons. Contributions may be made to the Indigenous Women's Literacy program at the Seva Foundation. Loretta Luhrs, of Albertson and Florida, died on Nov. 25, 2001. Wife of the late Harvey. Mother of Laurie Ann and the late Kevin, Keith and Christine. Grandmother of Johnny and Kevin. Sister of Barbara Foray. Arrangements were made by the Roslyn Heights Funeral Home.
