More information has been made available about the new retail building at 32 and 34 Glen Cove Road in Greenvale. The building will be approximately 6,700 sq. ft. in size, not including the proposed basement. It will be just one story in height.

The building will be located 200 ft. north of Northern Boulevard. Plenty of on-site parking will be available. According to Robert H. Arnold, the site's real estate broker, the building will have "great Northern Boulevard and Glen Cove Road exposure." The site has been designed by the Newman Design Group of Cold Spring Harbor.

The structure also hopes to take advantage of the new traffic situation at the corner of Northern and Glen Cove Road. Recently, the Nassau County Legislature held public hearings to discuss a map that would outline the real property and working easements needed for the road improvements at the Glen Cove and Northern intersection. The project involves widening Glen Cove Road just north and south of Northern Boulevard. It also involves extending the southbound turn lane and adding a left arrow on the traffic signal.

In addition, the construction project will add one southbound through lane through the intersection. Some acquisition of property will be needed although no buildings will be demolished. It appears that the total cost of this project is $900,000, of which $300,000 has been previously approved.
