Over 120 golfers gathered for the Seventh Annual Ernest R. Seifert Memorial Charity Golf Outing, raising over $25,000 for children's charities in the tri-state area on Oct. 13. The golf outing, sponsored by Syosset resident Duane Helkowski, was held at Mays Landing Golf Course in Atlantic City, NJ

Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf was designated as the "lead charity" for the outing, receiving $20,000 for new classroom equipment and schoolyard for its new Deaf Education Center.

The lead sponsor for the golf outing was BNP-Paribas, donating a large portion of the money raised. Present and past sponsors of the Seifert Memorial Golf Outing included: Bank Audi, Cendant Corporation, Morgan Stanley/Dean Witter, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Sykel Enterprises, Inc., Toll Brothers Inc. and Wackenhut Corrections.
