North Shore High School PTSA is sponsoring the Harlem Wizards Basketball Team on Friday, Oct. 26 at 8 p.m. in the high school gym. The PTSA is honoring the octogenarian Ray Conlin of Sea Cliff affectionately known as "Coach" in a journal. The proceeds will go to the World Trade Center Firemen and Police Relief and Red Cross funds.

Mr. Conlin, "Coach" was born and raised in Sea Cliff. He is a graduate of North Shore High School Class of 1932. Beginning in 1945, after the Navy, "Coach" taught driver's education, physical education, coached basketball, soccer and baseball in the North Shore school system. He retired in 1977 after a distinguished career with many awards, including those from Nassau County Coach's Associations for soccer and baseball. At present Mr. Conlin's two grandchildren attend North Shore Schools.
