Opinion

I have recently read several articles in The Roslyn News in which residents of the Roslyn area, including East Hills, expressed their opinion that a new library, if built, should be located in the East Hills Park. Although I fully concur with their suggestion, I wish to go one step further. I suggest that enough combined acreage be set aside for both a new library and a new post office, both badly needed for the residents of East Hills and Roslyn area. A new post office would unify the postal address of all East Hills by combining Roslyn Heights and Roslyn post offices and provide adequate parking for both, which is lacking at each location.

I suggest that the southwest corner of the park is the ideal location for both facilities.
