Last month, on May 12, the Roslyn Trinity Co-Op Nursery School celebrated its 50th anniversary. The event was attended by over 250 people, including teachers, parents, children and alumni, past board members and local dignitaries. Town of North Hempstead Councilwoman Doreen Banks and Nassau County Executive Thomas Gulotta both presented proclamations to the school director Lindi Nubell and President Lisa Lobley, while Legislator Craig Johnson awarded a special citation to the school. Celebrating a triumphant spring season of indoor tennis, Sportime at Roslyn held their Fifth Annual Women's League Tennis Luncheon to honor Spring 2001 award winners and to thank all the dynamic members for their super sportsmanship. On Thursday, May 31, League Director Karen Marlib Palevsky of Manhasset Hills coordinated a tantalizing tennis buffet, inviting hundreds of league members to delight in a day of round robin tennis on all nine har-tru clay courts.
