  • NEWS: BOE Holds Budget Hearing

    The current Roslyn Board of Education will hold a public work session and a public budget hearing on Thursday, May 3, at 8 p.m. in the Administration Building Board Room. The community is encouraged to attend. Opportunity for guests to ask questions and provide input is provided at all board meetings.   • SPORTS: Roslyn Grandson Wins 'Heisman'

    Pop Warner Football announced the presentation of the Pop Warner equivalent of the Heisman Trophy. The Len Lyons Commemorative Award, the most coveted career achievement award, was presented to Cameron McDonald-Hyman. Though a California resident, McDonald-Hyman has his roots in Roslyn. He is the grandson of Edith Hyman and the late Dr. Herbert H. Hyman of Roslyn Heights. Dr. Hyman was lauded by the Nassau County Museum as one of the 10 most influential persons in the history of Nassau County. FULL STORY
