The annual meeting of the Roslyn Clock Tower Party has been scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 8 p.m. at the Roslyn Village Hall located at 1200 Old Northern Boulevard.

The primary purpose of this fall meeting is to nominate candidates to run for the office of mayor and two candidates for trustee in the village's March 2001 elections.

Upon its review the nominating committee will recommend to the membership the following candidates: John Durkin for mayor, Nolan Meyerson for trustee, Marta Genovese for trustee.

These nominated candidates will require confirmation at our annual meeting in order to run for election in March 2001.

Trustee John Durkin has indicated his desire to run for mayor in light of the decision of current Mayor Janet Galante not to seek re-election in 2001. Trustee Nolan Meyerson has indicated he wishes to stand for re-election to the position he currently holds. The nominating committee will recommend Marta Genovese to fill the second trustee position. As you all know, Ms. Genovese currently is the chairperson of our Historic District Board.
