We should all appreciate Supervisor May W. Newburger's letter in your Sept. 28 edition opposing Executive Gulotta's proposal to eliminate the sales tax income to Nassau's town and cities.

We should be thankful that we have a political leader in Ms. Newburger who is capable, efficient, caring and respectful of the residents who are taxpayers.
