The weekend of Oct. 6 and 7 will usher in the Herricks Homecoming version of the Olympics this year. The weekend's festivities will begin with the usual pep rally and then take to the various fields and courts where the athletes will show their skills. Friday afternoon's events include girls' tennis, soccer and volleyball games. Sunday morning will see the boys' soccer game and in the afternoon the boys' football team will be playing.

Also included in the festivities are the Saturday morning 5K Walk/Run and the afternoon Homecoming Parade along Hillside Avenue in Williston Park to Herricks High School.

2 p.m. - Pep Rally - H.S. Gym

4 p.m. - Girls Soccer - H.S. field; Tennis - H.S. Courts; Girls Volley Ball - H.S. Gym.

7 p.m. - Homecoming - Courtyard

8 a.m. - Late registration for 5K run - HS Cafeteria

9 a.m. - 5K Walk/Run - High School

10:30 a.m. - Homecoming Brunch (by invitation only) - H.S. Cafeteria

11 a.m. - Boys Soccer - H.S. Field

Noon - Parade Lineup - Park Avenue

12:30 p.m. - Homecoming Parade

2 p.m. - HC Football game (v. Southside HS) - H.S. Field
