Allison Heimler, a third grade student in Ms. Goldblatt's class in the East Hills School placed first in her category at the 2000 Nassau County Figure Skating Championships at Cantiague Park on May 7.

Returning from her gold medal performance in the 1999 County Championships, Allison again impressed the five judge panel with her artistry, athleticism and grace skating to the music of Sweet Charity in a diverse program choreographed by her coach Linda Lester a former member of Disney on Ice.

In addition to Ms. Lester, Allison's coaching team also includes Linda Land and Valerie Murray. Allison skates regularly at the Port Washington Skating Center and Cantiague Park. Allison also trains during the summer at the United States Olympic Figure Skating Training Center in Lake Placid.
