I would like to express my support for Jeffrey Saporta, as he seeks election to the East Williston School Board.

I have seen firsthand how he was able to take a vision and see it through to fruition. This was the case with the Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center, also called the JCC. The JCC was once a modest, rented facility, offering adequate but limited programs. Jeffrey helped to spearhead a campaign to purchase land and build a center which would serve an entire community of young and old alike.

His background both in real estate, and as an attorney, as well as his expertise in fund raising, aided in the construction and management of the new JCC. In addition to providing a number of recreational facilities, the JCC now boasts a nursery school, after-school and teen programs, theater production, book talks, and adult sports, all with a professional and competent staff. It is a place which is enjoyed by a multi-cultural community.

As a school district on the verge of expansion, it makes sense to have someone with Jeffrey's diverse background. He is creative, diligent, and, when faced with a challenge, will work for the best interests of the children and the community.

Please join me in voting for Jeffrey Saporta on May 16.
