Scott Fink, a ninth grader, and No. 1 singles player at Wheatley High School, just placed third in an Eastern Tennis Association Boys 16's Grand Prix Tournament at the National Tennis Center. Scott, last year, was ranked fifth in the Boys 14's Eastern Tennis Association, and 62nd in the country, is starting to adjust to the hard hitting of the 16's. He says everyone has a big serve, and powerful ground strokes. He hopes he will pick up a few more inches in height and he realizes he better start hitting the weight room. He loves playing for Wheatley High School, and it was a thrill playing in four National Tournaments last year, competing against the best players in the country. His younger brother David, a fifth grader at Northside, is following in Scott's footsteps. He is currently ranked around 20 in the boys 12's.
