In 1998, under the leadership of then School Board President, Janet Entine, and Vice President, Susan Bergtraum, the school board approved a contract to erect an 82-foot cellular tower on the grounds of the Willets Road School.

It is time to elect individuals to our board whose priorities include the safety of our community. Jeffrey Saporta has expressed his opposition to the construction of this tower by attending a Town of North Hempstead hearing regarding this issue. He has demonstrated his on-going concern for our district, and continues to be an advocate for our children.

I encourage residents to realize the need for some change on our board and to elect Jeffrey Saporta on May 16.
