As taxpayers and parents, when we wish to have an input into our schools, one of the most powerful weapons we have is the vote. Every year we each have the opportunity to vote for a school budget and most years a board candidate. We intend to go to the Wheatley School on May 16 and cast our votes for the re-election of Susan Bergtraum. She is a candidate who best represents us.

Susan has a strong and diverse professional background in education; she thoroughly understands the teaching/learning process. Additionally, she is a child-centered, thoughtful, compassionate human being. She regularly participates and observes in a great many school functions becoming an involved and caring supporter for our children.

Many years ago our parents taught us the importance of voting at every opportunity; it is a lesson we still remember. We urge you to join us and vote for Susan Bergtraum on Tuesday, May 16. The power of pulling that lever for Susan will ensure the very best for our children.

Joanne and Terry Uellendahl
