We have known Susan Bergtraum for many years and when she was first elected to the Board of Education nine years ago, we were thrilled because we knew that the children of this district had gained an extraordinary and wonderful advocate.

Susan is enormously well qualified to serve on the board of education; she is an educator. In addition to being a certified school psychologist and educational evaluator, she has worked in schools in many different areas from the regular classroom to the special education classroom. For many years Susan was director of training for the widely acclaimed Playing It Safe, an organization dedicated to teaching issues of safety to children.

In addition to this, Susan brings to her job as trustee a profound love for children. All of the district's children are special to her, and this is borne out by her presence at an unbelievable number of district-wide events in all of our schools.

We urge all of our friends to vote for Susan Bergtraum on Tuesday, May 16 at the Wheatley Gym from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
