The year 2000 Bond Issue is coming up and people are excited! The community -minded citizens need to sit back, relax and read these facts...Just in case you are not sure which way to vote.

Roslyn class sizes could explode to 30 or 35 students per class.

At the Roslyn Middle School there could be the need to go to "split session." Which means classes would be held from 8 a.m. to noon and noon to 4 p.m. each day. Where will all our students go when they are not in class?

Or the eighth grade may have to be part of the high school. We would then need to eliminate the daytime adult education program and expand this school in the future to be able to enroll all the added students.

A very important fact is that our real estate values will be affected. The Roslyn Public Schools will be in jeopardy as buyers will look elsewhere to purchase their homes.

Please keep in mind that if we vote by June 30 our school system will receive an additional 10 percent of state aid of $250,000 for 20 years. This is a tremendous benefit for our school community, which means it is good for all of us.

Now don't you feel ready and relaxed to vote yes to the Roslyn Public Schools? Vote April 6 at the high school.
