As the March 21 elections near, civic associations in both the Village of East Hills and the Village of Roslyn will be sponsoring public forums allowing local residents to meet and question candidates running for the open trustee seats in both villages.

For residents in East Hills, a Meet the Candidates Forum will be held Tuesday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. at the East Hills School. The night's event will be sponsored by United Civics of East Hills. United Civics is the umbrella group for all the civic associations located in the village.

Two trustee seats are being contested at the March 21 elections. The Unity Party has nominated incumbent Trustee Linda Nathanson and Manny Zuckerman, a former member and chair of the East Hills Planning Board. while Derrick Rubin, a former mayor of Flower Hill is running on the newly-formed Concerned Citizens Party ticket.

The Roslyn Community Party is sponsoring a candidate forum on Thursday, March 9 at 8 p.m. in the auditorium of the Bryant Library. This forum will feature candidates Craig Westergard and Trustee Marshall Bernstein. On Thursday, March 16 at 8 p.m. at the Roslyn Village Hall, the Clock Tower Party will hold its own forum to be attended by Trustee Louise McCann and Wayne Marr.
