Recently, the Community Tennis Association of East Williston, Wheatley and Carle Place competed against Woodbury Racquet Club in a USA Team Tennis seasonal match at the Jericho/Westbury Indoor Racquet Club from 5-7 p.m.

Woodbury Racquet Club defeated the CTA of East Williston, Wheatley and Carle Place by a score of 17-7. Individual matches were close and skilled points were played on both sides. The two-hour match consisted of boys and girls' singles and doubles and mixed double matches.

USA Team Tennis is designed to give children of all ages and ability levels the opportunity to play matches and be on a team with kids of their same age. The teams then compete against other teams from the same geographic region. The USTA runs both a winter and summer league. Currently, there are 15 teams on Long Island.
