The Roslyn Alliance Against Drug and Alcohol Abuse (RADA) celebrated its 10th anniversary on Tuesday, Oct. 26, as the Roslyn School District staff played basketball against the exciting, high-flying Harlem Wizards in the Roslyn High School gym.
Representatives from RADA would like to thank chairpeople Nancy Goldman, Rhonda Sadur and Mindy Sherman and their committee for putting together the event; Superintendent of Schools Dr. Frank Tassone for his support and participation; Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Services and Personnel Madalyn McGovern for her guidance; Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Marilyn Silverman for emceeing; Mira Martincich for graciously serving as team captain and her active role in arranging the event; the Roslyn Teachers Association for their good sportsmanship and dedication to our common goals; all the building administration and staff for their assistance and encouragement; and for all of our children who make these efforts worthwhile.
