As a resident of Rockville Centre I think that it is important that the Roslyn community know of the generosity of Andels Delicatessen on Roslyn Road.

I am a volunteer for Island Harvest, a group that enlists a network of people to distribute excess food to the needy to end hunger and reduce food waste on Long Island.

Every Sunday I arrive at Andels to pick up food that they generously donate. I distribute it to two shelters in Roosevelt - halfway homes for struggling young people.

Jonathan and Abby are to be congratulated by all in their community for their desire to help the helpless and less fortunate.
