The new Roslyn Middle School football team won its first game 14-6 over Jericho in front of a record-breaking crowd at Roslyn High School.
The team was coached by Andy Marlow and Pat Christopher. When asked how it felt for this brand new team to win their first game, Coach Christopher said, "This displays all of the hard work the kids have been doing for weeks. It creates community excitement and is great for the high school. It also shows what great athletes we have in Roslyn."

This Roslyn Bulldog team showed the promise of some great future football players. There were some outstanding plays by Josh Lewis, Ronnie Combs, Jake Kimmelman, Rusty Drexler, Jon Eliassi, Jesse Molina and Jon Zackerman.
In the stands supporting this Middle School team were J.V. and varsity players from the Roslyn High School. Terry Tan said, "The Middle School team is great for the football program. It is essential because now we'll be playing on the same level as the other teams."
"The expedience these players are getting now will definitely be helpful to the high school. I wish we had had this team when I was in the Middle School," stated Josh Little.
The Roslyn Middle School football team was created this year with the joint efforts of the Roslyn Board of Education, the administration and the Bulldog Boosters. The enthusiasm so far is infectious.
