The United States Tennis Association is looking for children between the ages of 6 to 18 years of age to participate in USA Team Tennis here on Long Island this winter. USA Team Tennis is a five month program of team practice and match play for boys and girls of all ability levels. Teams are organized to match players of similar age and ability. These teams then compete against other teams from the same geographic region. All participants have the chance to advance to regional and sectional team competition. This league is especially suited for high school level players.
Matches begin the month of November and are completed the month of March. The regional and sectional playoff rounds will then take place in April. For further information or if you would like to be placed on a team, call Lisa Salvatierra at the USTA Eastern Long Island Regional office at 691-ACES.
Founded in 1881, the United States Tennis Association is a not-for-profit volunteer organization with more than 530,000 individual members and more than 6,000 organizational members.
