The Town of North Hempstead has, over the years, taken large measures to design and plan its parks. At a winter meeting of the North Hempstead Town Board, a group of consulting engineers was hired to prepare a topographical map of Roslyn Pond Park. This commission helped workers to create the local setting known as Roslyn Pond Park.

This summer, three concerts will be held at Roslyn Pond Park. They are: Something Special Big Band - Aug. 4, 7 p.m., Rain Date: Aug. 5, 7 p.m. Squeaky Clean, Classic Rock 'n Roll - Aug. 11, 7 p.m., Rain date: Aug. 12, 7 p.m. Long Island Banjo Society - Aug. 18, 7 p.m., Rain date: Aug. 19, 7 p.m. Events are free, just bring a chair or blanket.
