Students in Ronda Maultasch's sixth-grade French class participated in a mock "Tour de France" bicycle event on June 22. They organized in "teams" of francophone countries and rode bikes on the Middle School's track simulating the adventure which takes place through the cities and villages of France in July. In addition to the relevant cultural significance, this premier event provided interdisciplinary connections to math, as they calculated individual and team averages, geography and physical education. Physical education teachers Ms. Newman and Ms. Romanello joined the students on their tour.
