In a see-saw battle, the Expos came from behind in the bottom of the 5th and final inning to defeat the Blue Jays, 12-11. The game was the season opener for the two teams in the Roslyn Little League Girls' softball pro division (5th and 6th grade).

The Blue Jays jumped out to an early lead scoring twice in the top of the first. They lost the lead when the Expos scored two runs in the second, but regained it with a five-run uprising in the 3rd, behind the slugging of Alix Hirsch. The Expos were able to stay close thanks to several bases on balls, heads-up base running and the timely hitting of Ali Conrad.

Entering the bottom of the 5th inning and trailing by two runs, the first four hitters in the Expos' line-up, Caroline Dean, Nicole Herz, Marissa Sapper, and Courtney Carmody all reached base safely on hard hit balls, setting up Ali Conrad's third hit, which drove in Courtney Carmody with the 12th and winning run.
