For the past several months, the East Williston school district, which includes much of the Roslyn area, has been embroiled in a controversy over possible new school construction. The school board recently voted by a 3-2 margin to approve the construction of a fourth building on the Wheatley High School campus. Rachel Geller of East Hills is battling for the starting catcher's job for the Franklin and Marshall's varsity girls softball team. Ms. Geller is a sophomore at the university, which is located in Lancaster, PA. She is a graduate of Roslyn High School. In her first year on the team, Ms. Geller saw limited action as a backup catcher, but this year she is looking for far more playing time. FULL STORY
