Philip Ostrow, 80, of Roslyn Heights, died on March 8, 1999. A WWII veteran, he was a sales executive in the construction industry. Mr. Ostrow was a member of the Construction Specifications Institute, the Concrete Industry Board and he was a Little League coach in Roslyn. He was married to Jeanne Lipkind and Helen Holowasko. He is survived by his wife Louisette Mellen Ostrow; his son Jon Ostrow (Liz); his stepchildren Richard Mellen (Ruth) and Suzanne Mellen Brown (Jim); grandchildren, Evan, Gabriel, Alexander and Diana. He was predeceased by his daughter Allyn Ostrow.
