Albertson/Herricks Astros, the 14-and 15-year old-senior division had a perfect 14-0 season to clinch first place for the second year in row. The team played extremely competitive teams including New Hyde Park, Carle Place, Mineola, Roslyn, Garden City and Stewart Manor.

David Shelley, the number one pitcher had a near perfect game and had to settle for a one-hitter in one of the exciting games. P. J. Malquist, John Tunney and Glen Brewer were essential to the winning pitching staff, allowing only three earned runs per game.

Andrew Cutrone led the team with a .639 batting average and hit a team high three homeruns. David Pintauro, Nick Yannaco and Joe Pellegrini all had close to a .600 batting average as well as playing errorless ball.

Chuck Kincade, Matt Estreich, Brian Holzer, Mike DiBari, Brian Kinch, Keith Mitchell, Casey Lynn and Danny Sledz contributed to the winning cause with excellent fielding and timely hitting.
