    The quiet of a hot Monday afternoon in Roslyn Heights was broken up by 150 nursing home and health care workers from Sunharbor Nursing Home demonstrating in front of their employer's building.     The Eighth Annual New York Race for the Cure is one of the most important race events held each year in New York City. A 5K run/walk to raise money for breast cancer research will take place this year on Sunday, Sept. 13, in Central Park. The race will attract thousands of women, family members and supporters in a continuing effort to fund breast cancer screening, research, education and treatment for underserved communities in the New York area.
