On Saturday morning, July 11, the Roslyn Athletics took on the Glen Cove Green baseball team in the Glen Cove Tournament. This was the second game for Roslyn in the tournament. Their current record is 2-0. Their coach has high hopes of winning this tournament.

The highlights of this game are as follows: Ryan Glasco, Brian McGrath, Gregg Bencic and Tommy Papaian gave up only three runs while helping their team to victory. Clutch hitting by Evan Rand, Kevin O'Connor (hit a double) and Danny Zuffante in the bottom of the fourth inning, ignited the team. To add icing on the cake, Gregg Bencic went 3 for 4 including a triple. The Glen Cove Green never were able to challenge for the lead.

The Glen Cove Green team were last year's winners of the prestigious Sea Cliff Tournament. Congratulations to both teams for a competitive game!
