We are writing this letter to endorse the candidacy of Bob Hurleigh for the East Williston School Board. Bob, his wife Pat and their three children are longtime East Williston residents.

We have known Bob for many years and his forthright, no-nonsense approach to issues will well equip him to be an outstanding board member.

Bob's dedication to children is obvious. For many years, he was a CYO basketball and soccer coach for Saint Aidan's as well as a Little League coach. He has served on the East Williston Budget Advisory Committee for two years. In 1996-97, he was a co-chairman of the committee and this year he is a member of the finance committee. His experience on these committees, coupled with his ongoing desire to preserve the excellent education his own children have received in this district, has propelled Bob into seeking a seat on the board.

We can't think of anyone whose down-to-earth and forthright manner will serve this district any better than Bob Hurleigh. We urge you to vote for him in the East Williston Board of Education election on May 19.

Diane and Hank Hobbs
