I am pleased to add my name to the long list of others who are supporting Alvin Silverman's bid for re-election to the school board.

Having served as a board member myself for nine years I was fortunate enough to have firsthand experience of the talent and energy Mr. Silverman brings to the school board. His expertise in real estate and finance has been called upon many times over the years and his guidance has been welcomed by four superintendents and many compositions of school boards.

His own children are all graduates of the Roslyn Public Schools and his love for all children and belief in quality public education have benefited Roslyn families over the years.

I urge my fellow Roslynites to vote "yes" on the budget this May 19 and also to cast a vote for continuity and experience by voting for Alvin Silverman.
