  • NEWS: Flower Hill Stands Par on Greenway

    Since its reconfiguration was first implemented several years ago, the traffic flows throughout the Roslyn section of the Village of Flower Hill have continued to alternately draw support and opposition from some of the neighbors that reside there. This month's meeting saw another surge of attention to the subject as scores of residents crowded into the village hall to give their opinion on a motion made by the board of trustees to consider hiring a traffic consultant for a review of the area.

  • NEWS: Old Classmates Meet at Montgomery's

    The owners of Montgomery's Restaurant and Bar, and Roslyn High School alumni themselves, hosted a big Reunion Party for RHS graduates over the Thanksgiving weekend. In October, the restaurant hosted a 30th reunion for the class of 1967. The most recent reunion was a larger event, advertised as an "All Class Reunion."

  • SPORTS: Booster Basketball Results

    For Team #5, Jeremy Sterling played well, creating turnovers. Craig Cohen had 16 points. Matt Galeotti played well on offense and defense. Scott Kaplan played a terrific defensive game. Vic Pasricha set up several great picks. Jesse Siegelman was a key player and played well. Jordan Simon scored a key basket. Michael Zelnich grabbed several important rebounds.

  • SPORTS: 1998 Maccabi Youth Games Tryouts

    Jewish boys and girls ages 13-16 (as of Aug. 1, 1998) are invited to tryout for the Sid Jacobson JCC Maccabi Teams, which will play in Detroit from Aug. 16-23. The following schedule lists dates, times and tryout locations for the various sports:
