  • SPORTS: Landau Wins Scholar/Athlete Award

    Wheatley Senior, Rebecca Landau, has been named a recipient of the EAB News 12 Long Island Scholar-Athlete Award. This prestigious award is received by only 30 students from Long Island schools. Rebecca is the first recipient of this award for the 1997-98 school year. Over her high school career, Rebecca has earned all county status more than one time in three separate sports: tennis, basketball, and softball. Recently, she has been designated an outstanding physical education student by the Nassau Zone of New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
