Holiday Audubon Adventures: Join the Coolest Party Around!

This holiday break, would you like your children to learn the secrets of the forest, discover the wonders of nature through hands-on play, and find adventure around every tree? Through Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary & Audubon Center’s Holiday Audubon Adventures, they can!

The Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary & Audubon Center invites your child to four days full of fun and adventure. Holiday Audubon Adventures runs 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28 through Thursday, Dec. 31. With a different party theme each day, children will play games, see live animal presentations, create crafts and enjoy stories all revolving around a daily conservation message. Sanctuary Educators will guide your child through nature hikes, games, crafts, stories and live animal presentations. Activities are designed to incorporate hands-on learning, while encouraging exploration, observation and problem-solving skills.

Join us for the week or sign-up per day. Your child will build memories, enjoy outdoor experiences, and make friendships that will last into adulthood.

Daily Party Themes include:

Animal House Party! On Monday, Dec. 28 give a gift to wildlife! Learn ways that you can help animals. Then make bird houses to decorate the Sanctuary and feeders for our hungry inhabitants!

Pajama Party! On Tuesday, December 29 wear your PJs today to seek out animals that sleep all winter, wave goodbye to animals that move away to find warmth, and party with animals that stay to play!

Winter Search Party! On Wednesday, Dec. 30 follow a scent trail, examine critter characteristics and identify animal tracks. Use your sleuth skills to search for the who’s who of winter wildlife.

Black Tie Party! On Thursday, Dec. 31, animals are getting ready for the New Year! Come dressed as your favorite black and white animal to find out why zebras have stripes and polar bears have black skin!

Pre-Registration Required.
