The temperatures have dropped but the heat is still on for the boys’ cross-country team. They finished the season undefeated for the third time in schools history and hope to be making more history as they compete for a spot in the state championships later this week. Congrats to the guys.
The boys’ volleyball team has locked up the second seed in the playoffs. They finish out their season this week before the playoffs begin next week.
The girls’ field hockey teams finished this week as well and have locked up the second seed in the playoffs. The team plays a home semifinal game next Tuesday, Nov. 1. Game time will be 2:30 p.m.
The girls swim team won their final home meet of the season and clinched a conference championship. The team moves on to individual championships next week. Congrats!
By all indications, it looks like the boys’ soccer team will be keeping their consecutive playoff streak alive. Keep updated on the athletic website and message board for info.
In Nassau County tennis team championship playoffs, the girls’ tennis team defeated Roslyn 4-3 in the quarterfinals and Manhasset in the semifinals to advance to the finals against defending county champion Syosset. At press time, the team had yet to play.
Final home football game for the Vikings this Saturday vs. Macarthur. It is the team senior game so come on out to cheer on the boys in their final game. Time is 1:30 p.m. See you around next week when we update on all the playoff games.
