Guggenheim held it’s 4th annual PARP Pajama night. The goal of PARP is to encourage parents to read with their children for at least 15 minutes per day. Students were able to travel from classroom to classroom where they were read various stories by parent volunteers. They also participated in a scavenger hunt related to those stories they listened to. The second week of PARP Guggenheim invited community members to come and read to the students. Participants included State Senator Jack Martins, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kathleen Mooney, Weber Principal Marilyn Rodahan, St. Francis Nurse Samantha Euler, Musician Nikki Nevermann from Back to Rock, Manorhaven Trustee Lucretia Steele, Bank Manager Richard Tavares, Letter Carrier Hector Gonzalez, PW Fire Chief Ray Ryan, PW Librarian Keith Klang, Dolphin Bookshop Children’s Room Librarian Debbie Klein as well as many teachers, administrators and staff at Guggenheim.
